Bob Bourgeois is from Thibodaux, Louisiana, and is a graduate of Thibodaux High School. During high school, he was an active FFA member, a football player, and a member of the National Honor Society.

As part of the Thibodaux High FFA Chapter, Bob competed in Land Evaluation, Meat Evaluation, Extemporaneous Speaking, and the Forestry CDE. During his senior year, he assisted his advisor in training the Meat Evaluation team, an experience that sparked his passion for agricultural education.

Bob is now pursuing a degree in Agricultural Education at McNeese State University to follow that passion. One of his lifelong dreams was to represent Louisiana FFA as a state officer, and he is proud to be fulfilling that dream by serving as the 2025–2026 State Vice President representing Area IV.
