McKayla Corder was born and raised in Crowley, Louisiana, and attended Midland High School where she was actively
involved in 4-H, Theater, French Club, Student Council, and Beta. She has a deep commitment to the future of
agriculture, raising and showing dairy cattle with her family, as well as being active in the Midland FFA
Chapter. She participated in the Livestock Evaluation CDE and the Prepared Speaking LDE in which she placed second in the 2023 state event. She was honored to serve as Chapter Treasurer and President in her junior and senior years of high school. McKayla is passionate about her faith and is active in her church, devoting her time to the youth and student ministry. She is currently a freshman at McNeese State University, where she is majoring in Ag Business and minoring in Communications. McKayla is humbled yet incredibly proud to be serving as our 2024-2025 State Sentinel!
