District 3 Welding
The district 3 welding contest will be held at the West Monroe campus of Delta Community College this Friday March 7th. Registration will begin at 8am with the contest starting around 9am.
Students will cut their plate in half and then will be performing an open v groove weld with the position of the weld being drawn at random the morning of the contest.
Students will need:
-All personal protective equipment needed to weld safely
-1-3/8''x6''x8'' piece of metal with a 33 degree bevel on both of the 6'' sides
