Louisiana FFA members are given the opportunity to see state government in action at Capitol Day, a one-day event each year held at the state capitol in Baton Rouge. The morning begins with FFA members visiting the state capitol building, observing legislative committees, and meeting with their respective state senators and representatives. A luncheon is held on the House Patio. During the luncheon, government officials speak, and FFA members have an opportunity to thank their leaders for their support of FFA and agricultural education. The day concludes as FFA is introduced to the Louisiana House of Representatives and Senate at the start of their daily sessions.
The 25th Louisiana FFA Capitol Day will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
Agenda will be released soon!
Registration for the luncheon is limited to 150 members, advisors, and guests. Check-in for the luncheon will begin at 11:30am on the House Patio.
Members should attend all Capitol Day events in Official Dress.
All events are offered at NO COST to your members; however, your chapter will be assessed a $5 per person fee if your registered number does not attend.
