CAPITOL DAY
Louisiana FFA members are given the opportunity to see state government in action at Capitol Day, a one-day event each year held at the state capitol in Baton Rouge. The morning begins with FFA members visiting the state capitol building, observing legislative committees, and meeting with their respective state senators and representatives. A luncheon is held on the House Patio. During the luncheon, government officials speak, and FFA members have an opportunity to thank their leaders for their support of FFA and agricultural education. The day concludes as FFA is introduced to the Louisiana House of Representatives and Senate at the start of their daily sessions.
