Overview
During the Gulf of Mexico Speaking Leadership Development Event (LDE), students write and deliver a creative, informative speech six to eight-minutes in length about a current topic related to the Gulf of Mexico. The speech is then presented to a panel of judges, who score the student based on the speech’s content, composition and delivery. Mirroring the Prepared Speaking LDE, this is a Louisiana-only event.
